While a scholarship is an excellent opportunity, many MIDE students successfully finance their studies through other sources and complete the programme without scholarship support.

Thanks to Germany's publicly funded higher education system, international students can access a high-quality master's degree at a comparatively moderate overall cost. 

Applicants should budget approximately €20,000–30,000 for living expenses during the 18-month programme, depending on accommodation choices and personal lifestyle. In addition, MIDE charges a one-time service fee of €2,500 and semester fees of approximately €360 per semester.

Each year, at least 85% of MIDE students complete the programme without a scholarship, typically combining personal savings, family support, employer sponsorship, or educational loans.

International students in Germany are generally permitted to work part-time during their studies, which can help cover a portion of living expenses. However, as MIDE is an intensive programme, students should ensure that their primary funding is secured before arrival, as paid work should be viewed as supplementary rather than primary financial support.
