Application form
How to Apply:
All MIDE applications will be handled by HTW Berlin. An application via Uni-Assist is not required.
- Register on the application portal to create your login details.
-
Log in (top right corner) and fill out the application form.
You’ll need to upload supporting documents as part of your application, so it’s a good idea to have them ready before you start.
There are no application fees.
Need a hand filling out the form? Our guideline will help.
Staying Informed About Your Application
We’ll keep you updated about your application through the HTW application portal. You’ll receive a notification whenever:
-
Your application is being processed, and/or
-
We need additional documents from you.
When your application status changes to "valid", it means we’ve reviewed your MIDE application and everything is complete. From there, it moves into our ranking-based admission process. The results will be available by the end of October—so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us in between, that’s normal.
Please note that, due to the high number of applications we receive, status changes may take some time. We kindly ask you to refrain from sending inquiries about your application status, as this will not speed up the process.
If you’ve applied for the DAAD scholarship, you’ll also receive those results by the end of October.
The DAAD scholarship is highly competitive, so we recommend looking into other funding opportunitiesor self-funding your studies as well. This way, you’ll have more options for making your studies possible.
Apply Without Certified Hardcopies
You do not need to submit certified hardcopies of your university documents when applying. Electronic copies are sufficient for processing your application to the MIDE programme — and, if applicable, for the DAAD scholarship.
Only applicants who are admitted and accept their study place will be required to submit certified hardcopies of their university documents, along with the signed study contract.
